3. ENGLISH-ENRICHED PRE-DUAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME
3.1. Academic Structure of the English-Enriched Pre-Dual Diploma Program
Academic Bilingual Foundation:
Students study three core subjects in English with international teachers: Academic English (ESL), Mathematics, and Science. This bilingual secondary program strengthens academic English proficiency while enhancing logical reasoning and analytical thinking skills.
Three Development Pillars and Six Global Contexts:
The curriculum is structured around three key pillars:
- In-depth academic research
- Exploration of knowledge through six global contexts
- Creative activities, experiential learning, and community engagement
Students develop questioning, analytical reasoning, argumentation, presentation, and independent research skills. Through global contexts, they connect academic content with real-world issues and cultivate a strong sense of global citizenship.
Comprehensive Assessment Approach:
Assessment in the English-Enriched Pre-Dual Diploma Program goes beyond traditional examinations and includes:
- Continuous learning assessment
- Project-based and product-based evaluation (presentations, experiments, research projects)
- End-of-term examinations
This comprehensive assessment model reflects students’ competencies, critical thinking abilities, and application of knowledge while promoting confidence and proactive learning.
3.2. 21st Century Skills Development (4Cs)
The program emphasizes the development of the 4Cs: Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity
Students strengthen these competencies through STEAM projects, Information Technology activities, experiential learning, field trips, school events, and after-school clubs. These essential skills prepare students to succeed in a fast-changing global environment.
3.3. Core Values: Ethics – Health – Knowledge
Ethics: Independence and Community Responsibility
Students cultivate independence, self-discipline, and healthy relationships with family, peers, and the wider community. Community projects and extracurricular activities nurture responsibility in both national and global contexts.
Health: Physical, Emotional, and Intellectual Well-being
Sports, arts, and music programs support physical fitness and emotional balance. A structured reading program fosters independent learning habits, critical thinking, and intellectual growth.
Knowledge: Academic Excellence and Future Pathways
Students gain comprehensive academic knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and career orientation support. They are guided to identify personal strengths and interests, enabling informed future academic and career decisions.
