[Primary & Middle School] IRONMAN KICKOFF: READY FOR VICTORY

[Primary & Middle School] IRONMAN KICKOFF: READY FOR VICTORY

Date Submitted: 22/08/2025

To re-energize students, help them re-establish study habits after the summer break, and create a holistic learning environment, Olympia Primary, Secondary and High School organized the IRONMAN competition.

The IRONMAN competition is a comprehensive academic and skills-based playground. The challenges are designed around core knowledge (Math, English, Science, Literature) from both the Cambridge program and the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, combined with 21st-century and essential study skills. It is also an opportunity for students to express themselves, inspire their peers, and together create proud stories of achievement from the very first days of the school year.

The Ironman 2025 competition is a comprehensive academic playground, as well as a chance for SOers’ “brains” to warm up before the new school year.

The preparation process for Primary & Secondary SOers lasted throughout the first three weeks of August. During this time, the Ironmen actively practiced computer-based testing, sharpened shorthand skills for the Creative Language challenge, and honed other academic skills. This preparation was essential to help them confidently step into the official race.

Primary students practiced with computer-based multiple-choice questions.

Sixth graders trained take note skills in preparation for the Creative Language challenge.

In the morning, students competed in three individual categories: Math Challenge, Science Quiz, and Creative Language. At the same time, the Golden Bell Challenge for Grade 1 students created an exciting stage for the “newcomers” to showcase their confidence. Experience booths such as reading, bookmark making, and physical games offered relaxation, balancing challenge and fun.

The Math Challenge and Science Quiz were held in the form of computer-based multiple-choice tests.

The Ironmen stayed highly focused at the Creative Language station, taking shorthand notes of important information.

The Golden Bell Challenge for Grade 1 students brought vibrant energy to one corner of Ironman Day.

The physical games station was bustling with participants eager to win attractive prizes.

The reading and bookmark-making station provided a relaxing corner to recharge energy between challenges.

In the afternoon, the atmosphere grew even more vibrant with team competitions. At the Think Fast Challenge, students trained quick reflexes and effective teamwork. Particularly, the “We are Ready” project presentations left strong impressions as Secondary students confidently pitched to the judges, seeking “investment” for their creative and practical ideas.

The “Think Fast Challenge” was a team coordination activity with members from Grade 1 to Grade 5.

Middle school “young entrepreneurs” presented their “We are Ready” projects, successfully passing the judges’ rigorous evaluation to secure investment for their ideas.

At the end of the day, awards such as Ironman Star (Outstanding Individual), Excellent Ironman Team (Outstanding Team), and successfully funded projects affirmed the spirit of breakthrough, creativity, and unity among Olympia Primary & Secondary students.

Congratulations to the Primary & Middle School Ironmen for successfully reaching the finish line.

Ironman Kickoff 2025 was not only an academic competition, but also a powerful “spiritual boost,” helping students enter the new school year with confidence, determination, and joy on their journey of conquering knowledge.
