END-OF-SEMESTER I INTERNAL TRAINING: GROWING STRONG – GROWING STEADY – GROWING FORWARD
Date Submitted: 31/12/2025
When students temporarily close Semester I to rest and recharge, the teaching staff of the Sakura – Olympia School System remains actively engaged in completing semester reviews and attending professional training sessions to prepare for the next stage of development. The end-of-semester intensive training provides an opportunity for the entire system to refresh mindsets, reinforce professional foundations, and align on long-term development directions.
Throughout the program, teachers engaged with three key pillars simultaneously: strategic development orientation, reflection on educational practice, and enhancement of professional dialogue and communication skills. These pillars form the foundation for implementing the strategy “Growing Strong – Growing Steady – Growing Forward” in the next phase.
SEMINAR “INTEGRATION & DEVELOPMENT”
Opening the training series was the thematic seminar “Integration & Development,” held on the morning of December 29, 2025. The session provided teachers with an overview of the educational landscape in the context of international integration. By analyzing international, affiliated, and integrated education models, the seminar clarified why Sakura – Olympia has chosen integrated education as a long-term strategy.

The seminar “Integration & Development” introduced international, affiliated, and integrated education models and clarified Sakura – Olympia’s integrated education pathway.
Teachers gained deeper insight into the nature of the integrated model implemented by the school, which harmoniously combines the Vietnamese National Curriculum, the academic depth of the Cambridge program, and the global mindset of the 4Cs framework. As a result, the team developed a clearer understanding of Sakura – Olympia’s educational development roadmap for the 2025–2030 period and the role of everyone within this shared journey.
WORKSHOP “REFLECTING ON PRACTICE”: FROM REAL EXPERIENCES TO SHARED LESSONS
Building on the strategic orientation, the “Reflecting on Practice” workshop held in the afternoon focused on practical and relevant issues in everyday school life. Teachers revisited situations that have occurred or are currently occurring in educational settings, thereby identifying common types of conflict and recognizing the role of positive relationships in building a happy school environment.
Through analyzing context, conflict, responses, and lessons learned, teachers not only learned from the situations themselves but also from the real experiences of their colleagues. The workshop helped transform individual experiences into shared knowledge, contributing to more proactive, humane, and consistent approaches to situation handling.

Teachers shared real-life situations drawn from their professional experiences.
WORKSHOP “CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS”: FROM INSTINCTIVE REACTIONS TO PROFESSIONAL DIALOGUE
Another key component of the program was the Crucial Conversations workshop, which focused on identifying and handling important conversations in educational settings. Teachers were guided to analyze the underlying factors behind behaviors and reactions in tense or sensitive situations.
Through this workshop, the teaching team was equipped with the necessary mindset and skills to transform emotional reactions into constructive dialogue aimed at positive outcomes. This marked an important shift toward enhancing professional communication capacity and establishing a healthy dialogue culture across the system.

The “Crucial Conversations” workshop provided techniques to help teachers standardize communication approaches and work toward positive outcomes in important conversations.
ROLE-PLAY PRACTICE & CONSOLIDATION OF CULTURAL BEHAVIORAL PRINCIPLES AT SAKURA – OLYMPIA
Moving beyond theory, the training program allocated time for role-play practice activities. Teachers directly experienced common communication, conflict, and dialogue scenarios from real school contexts, from which they derived behavioral principles aligned with Sakura – Olympia’s culture.
Through these activities, behavioral principles were not only articulated but also experienced and internalized, contributing to consistency in conduct, communication, and collaboration among members of the system.

Based on real situations discussed in the “Reflecting on Practice” workshop, combined with content from the “Crucial Conversations” workshop, teachers practiced role-playing to propose more positive and effective approaches to problem-solving.
The end-of-Semester I training program is not only an annual professional activity but also reflects Sakura – Olympia’s long-term commitment to investing in teacher development. When teachers continuously learn, adjust, and grow, students benefit from a stable, humane, and inspiring learning environment. The strategy “Growing Strong – Growing Steady – Growing Forward” therefore goes beyond a slogan and is realized through the teaching team—those who accompany students each day on their journey of "Shaping Character – Conquering Heights – Crafting Happiness".
