[Primary & Middle School] SPORT DAY 2026: When the Entire Olympia Community Moves Together

Date Submitted: 27/01/2026

Olympia families came together to switch on their energy for 2026 through a joyful Sport Day marked by energetic runs and well-coordinated handshakes. From the explosive opening flashmob, high-energy sports activities, and lively family run to the proud and encouraging gazes of parents cheering for their children, everything combined to create a vivid picture of a warm, connected, and emotionally rich sports festival.

Olympia families came together to switch on their energy for 2026 with a vibrant Sport Day.

Sport Day 2026 is an annual program organized with the aim of creating a joyful, safe, and educational sports playground where students can strengthen their physical fitness, develop sportsmanship, and learn how to cooperate within a team. At the same time, the program provides an opportunity for parents to accompany their children, enhance the connection between families and the school, and build a close-knit, sharing educational community. This is also an activity that strongly reflects the educational identity of Sakura – Olympia, oriented toward the core value of Health within the value system of Ethics – Health – Knowledge. Through a wide range of physical activities, the festival encourages students to increase physical movement, improve fitness, and develop a positive, healthy lifestyle.

The Sports Festival is an annual activity oriented toward the value of Health, with the goal of encouraging Olympia community members to stay active and nurture a positive spirit.

Sport Day 2026 offered a wide variety of activities suitable for different age groups, encouraging the participation of both students and parents.

The tug-of-war activity for parents and students in Grades 1 and 2 opened the festival with a cheerful atmosphere, helping students become familiar with physical activity through teamwork and coordinated effort.

While the students’ rounds brought joy and excitement, the parents’ tug-of-war rounds showcased intensity and dramatic competition.

The football-with-oversized-pants activity for parents and students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 brought bursts of laughter, while also strengthening coordination skills and promoting a spirit of fair play.

Pickleball, designed for parents and Middle School students, was a fresh highlight of Sport Day, giving families the opportunity to experience a modern, flexible, and accessible sport together.

The basketball activity for Middle School students allowed participants to develop physical strength, tactical thinking, and teamwork skills through dynamic matches.

In addition, the Karatedo experience for parents and Primary School students provided an engaging physical playground, combining fitness training with confidence-building through basic techniques.

Notably, the 400-meter Family Run attracted enthusiastic participation from many families. Without focusing on winning or performance, the run aimed to encourage everyone to complete the course together, cheer one another on, and reach the finish line in shared joy.

Sport Day 2026 left behind many beautiful moments. Here, parents and students not only participated in sports activities together but also shared joy, encouraged one another, and created lasting memories. It was this close interaction and spirit of companionship that gave the festival its special value, going beyond the framework of a typical sports event.

The School would like to extend its sincere thanks to Olympia families for their enthusiastic participation, companionship, and contributions to a Sport Day 2026 filled with energy, emotion, and meaning. The presence and support of parents are a strong motivation for Sakura – Olympia to continue organizing meaningful educational activities that support the holistic and happy development of every student.

Congratulations to the Blue Team – champions of Sport Day 2026.

Thank you to all Olympia families for creating such a memorable sports festival.
