OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2025–2026 SCHOOL YEAR AT SAKURA - OLYMPIA

Date Submitted: 05/09/2025

This autumn has become more special than ever. In the proud spirit of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day, students across the country eagerly stepped into the Opening Ceremony of the 2025–2026 school year. This year’s school opening day became even more sacred as it was associated with the historic event – the 80th anniversary of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam). Therefore, the Opening Ceremony at Sakura – Olympia carried a fuller meaning than ever before: not only marking the beginning of a new school year but also honoring, inheriting, and continuing the traditions of national education.

In the days leading up to the new school year, students across all grade levels at Sakura – Olympia practiced diligently with excitement and determination:

The little ones at Sakura Kindergarten enthusiastically practiced dances and drum performances to welcome the new school year.

First graders and sixth graders seriously rehearsed their formations.

High school students trained powerfully for their Karatedo mass performance.

Each rehearsal was not only preparation for a perfect performance, but also a journey of discipline, teamwork, and pride in being part of such a significant event.

On the morning of September 5, 2025, the Opening Ceremony at Sakura – Olympia officially took place in an atmosphere that was both solemn and radiant with joy. Emotional performances from Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, and High School left a deep impression, lighting up the stage on the opening day.

The Karatedo mass performance by high school students delivered a strong source of energy to kickstart the new school year.

The moment when Ms. Phan Thị Xuân Trâm – Principal of Sakura Kindergarten – delivered the Opening Ceremony speech, and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Minh Tuyết – Principal of Olympia Primary, Middle & High School – struck the resounding school drum, engraved in the hearts of every SO member a deep pride and a strong spirit to step into the new school year.

Right after the ceremony, all students, teachers, and staff of Sakura – Olympia joined together to watch the Commemoration Ceremony of the 80th Anniversary of the Ministry of National Education. This was an opportunity for students to better understand the journey of Vietnam’s educational development, to honor those who laid the foundation, and to nurture pride and a sense of responsibility in today’s generation.

All members of Sakura – Olympia united in the jubilant atmosphere of the nationwide school opening day.

The Opening Ceremony of the 2025–2026 school year came to a close, but the feelings of pride and joy continue to echo. With the energy from the stage, the heartfelt messages from teachers, and the inherited values of educational history, Sakura – Olympia believes that every SOer will step into the new school year with confidence, responsibility, and the aspiration to soar higher.
