SPRING FESTIVAL 2026: TET COMES TO LITTLE SOERS THROUGH BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCES

SPRING FESTIVAL 2026: TET COMES TO LITTLE SOERS THROUGH BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCES

Date Submitted: 07/02/2026

In the lively atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet, on the morning of February 7, 2026, Sakura Kindergarten hosted the Spring Festival 2026, filled with excitement and anticipation among students, parents, and teachers. The festival was not only an occasion to welcome the new spring, but also a colorful cultural journey introducing Tet traditions to young children.

From early morning, the Sakura schoolyard was filled with spring colors, cheerful laughter, eager footsteps, and vibrant decorations. The enthusiastic participation of parents, along with the lovely presence of Olympia Primary students, made the festival even warmer, more connected, and truly complete.

SPRING FESTIVAL – A MINI TET MARKET SCENE AT SAKURA – OLYMPIA

The Spring Festival brought the familiar and cozy feeling of a mini Tet market. Each area offered children a different way to approach and experience traditional Tet, creating an open learning and experiential space. All activities in the schoolyard, PE room, and food area were thoughtfully designed to suit the developmental characteristics of kindergarten children, allowing them to learn through play naturally and joyfully. Game booths, the bánh chưng wrapping experience, creative corners, and check-in areas were filled with laughter and excitement, forming a vibrant spring picture full of life.

The festival opened with lively cultural performances by the kindergarten children, as if inviting spring to come and join the celebration. In particular, the áo dài fashion show, featuring mothers and children together, left a lasting impression, helping to nurture children’s confidence, pride, and appreciation of traditional beauty in a warm family atmosphere.

The áo dài performance by mothers and children energized the Spring Festival stage.

In the schoolyard, children engaged in various traditional games and activities, including fishing games, ring toss, balloon blowing, and bamboo pole dancing. Each game not only brought joyful laughter, but also helped children develop physical skills, hand–eye coordination, and the ability to wait, share, and play together with friends.

In addition, experiences such as bánh chưng wrapping, fortune drawing, and receiving calligraphy blessings from the calligrapher helped children become familiar with the core values of the Vietnamese Tet holiday. From washing banana leaves and wrapping bánh chưng to choosing calligraphy characters, children were introduced to traditional culture through concrete, memorable, and emotionally rich experiences.

The Tet accessory booths and the “childhood grocery store” offered children opportunities to observe, choose, and communicate in familiar, real-life situations, naturally supporting the development of social skills. In addition, the food stalls featuring sweet treats, shaken fruit cups, dried beef, fried snacks, and pizza provided children with a rich sensory tasting experience in the festive atmosphere. This was also an opportunity for children to learn how to choose, enjoy, and share food with their families and friends.

The booths were decorated, the products selected, and the food prepared through the joint efforts of parents and children. Everything was created with great care, dedication, and love.

In the multi-purpose room, activities were designed with a hands-on, creative, and STEM-oriented approach appropriate for kindergarten children. Children participated in Tet picture-matching games and target ball-throwing games, combining physical movement with the development of observation, reasoning, and coordination skills.

Creative activities, such as making tò he figurines, leaf art, handmade horse crafts, and coloring spring peach and apricot blossom trees, encouraged children to develop their imagination, creativity, and fine motor skills. By selecting materials, assembling, shaping, and completing their projects, children were introduced to fundamental STEM thinking processes: observe, experiment, adjust, and complete.

Alongside traditional Tet experiences, the Spring Festival also featured small yet engaging “learning corners” that helped children strengthen creativity and aesthetic awareness.

Children eagerly participated in physical games together with their parents.

The Tet check-in corner was also a place to preserve precious early-spring family moments, allowing children to feel the joy of sharing their creative achievements with their parents.

The Tet check-in corner was carefully prepared by Sakura teachers using handmade items and filled with respect and loving care.

CONNECTING LOVE FOR A COMPLETE TET

The Spring Festival 2026 became even more meaningful thanks to the active involvement of parents. It was truly touching and inspiring to see parents from different classes working together to decorate the festival booths. Some parents stayed late into the night before the event to complete preparations, so that the children could enjoy a joyful and fulfilling festival the next morning. From charming booths, delicious food offered at very “friendly” prices, handmade items created by parents, to traditional games and cultural performances—all were prepared with great dedication and love. Parents not only joined their children in the activities, but also captured precious early-spring family moments, laughing, playing, and fully embracing the Tet atmosphere at Sakura. It was the heartfelt commitment of teachers and parents that created a loving environment and gave the children a truly complete and happy festival.

The Spring Festival 2026 was not just a joyful day, but a comprehensive Tet experiential journey—where children could move, create, observe, feel, and connect. Through traditional games, creative activities, and STEM-based experiences, the school aims to nurture children’s curiosity, spirit of exploration, love for traditional culture, and warm childhood memories.

The Spring Festival 2026 concluded with joy and radiant smiles. Sakura Kindergarten sincerely thanks our parents, students, teachers, and the Olympia Primary students who together created such a meaningful and complete celebration.

Welcome the new spring—welcome joyful, happy, and love-filled learning journeys at Sakura.
