Parents in Class 2024-2025 – A Series of Meaningful Family Bonding Activities of Sakura Kindergarten

Date Submitted: 20/12/2024

If the classroom is where children learn to explore the world, then the companionship of parents is the greatest gift to help them grow confidently and happily on their journey of development. Every moment spent with their children is a meaningful journey of love.

With the desire to help parents better understand the educational activities at Sakura Kindergarten while creating a strong connection between family and school, Sakura Kindergarten organizes the "Parents in Class" series for the 2024-2025 academic year for Yuri (middle kindergarten) and Himawari (senior kindergarten) classes. Each activity in the program is thoughtfully and playfully designed, offering opportunities for parents not only to better understand their children but also to immerse themselves in the pure, innocent world of childhood.

Yuri Classes: Parents in Class Experience the World of Childhood

In the Yuri classes, parents had the opportunity to directly participate in lessons, observe fun activities, and witness their children's independence during meals.

Yuri 1 Class: Parents in Class explored transportation, listened to the meaningful story "The Five Pea Seeds," joined fun English games, and danced together amidst cheerful laughter. Memorable moments like decorating paper fireworks or playing games like "The Train and Flip the Fish" left a lasting impression.

Himawari Classes – Parents Become Teachers, Exploring Professions Together

While Yuri's activities allow parents to observe their children's school routines, Himawari classes give children a chance to see a different version of their parents – as teachers. Most importantly, children learn about their parents' professions, fostering respect and appreciation for their hard work.

Himawari 1 Class: The morning began with a special session led by Dr. Pham Hong Ha, the father of student Tao, who introduced the role of a doctor and shared valuable knowledge about spinal health and proper sitting posture. Children also explored heartbeats and skeletal models. Additional fun activities included music sessions with "Baby Shark" performed on guitar by Mộc's father, Christmas tree crafting from chenille wires guided by Calvin's mother, a magical performance by Suly's mother, and nutrition lessons from Út's mother encouraging healthy eating habits.

Himawari 2 Class: Excitement filled the room with Christmas-themed activities. Under Lam's mother's guidance, children decorated adorable cookies, while Bo's mother transformed tinsel strings into charming Christmas trees. Family bonding games and joyful dances created a warm and vibrant festive atmosphere.

Himawari 3 Class: The day featured a special French lesson by Lion's father, where children learned basic French words like "Bonjour" (Hello) and "Merci" (Thank you) and played interactive language games. The fun continued with English lessons with teacher Herah, poetry recitals, and games like "Throw the Scarf" and "Musical Chairs." The children also performed heartwarming songs and dances dedicated to their parents.

Happiness in Independence and Growth

In every class, the most special moments of the "Parents in Class" series were when parents witnessed their children confidently serving themselves meals, sitting properly, and cleaning up after eating. These small yet meaningful actions are evidence of their growth and independence nurtured at Sakura Montessori.

The "Parents in Class" activities are not just opportunities for parents to better understand their children's learning journeys but also serve as a bridge of love, strengthening the bond between family and school. Every moment shared in the classroom leaves lasting memories, forming a strong foundation for children to confidently explore the world.

Sakura Kindergarten extends heartfelt gratitude to Parents in Class for creating wonderful memories in the "Parents in Class" program. We look forward to sharing more meaningful journeys in the future!
