Date Submitted: 03/10/2025
Every full moon season at Sakura - Olympia leaves behind its own beautiful mark. This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival was especially radiant, with each division bringing to life a different hue of creativity and joy, blending together into one colorful celebration across the entire system.
A CREATIVE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL FOR SAKURA KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN
The Mid-Autumn Festival at Sakura Kindergarten was as lively as a painting filled with color and laughter. Under the theme “STEM: The World of Colors,” which aligns with the school year’s direction, children explored the magic of science through creative and festive experiences — celebrating the moonlight while discovering the beauty of learning.
At three lovely check-in corners decorated in green, yellow, and red, little SOers learned to identify fruits, vegetables, and traditional Mid-Autumn treats that matched each color. During the hands-on activities, children eagerly pounded vegetables to make green dye, brewed chrysanthemum tea for yellow, and used beetroot to create shades of red, then mixed them into new and fascinating hues. From their tiny hands, paintings, hand-dyed fabrics, and fruit-pattern prints came to life — vivid proofs of their imagination and boundless creativity.
